Big news

There has been quite a lot of speculation as to the next move for the Blue Bottle Coffee Company. Are we opening a new kiosk? A new roaster? Are we taking the battle for the Gibraltar to the streets and finally burning to the ground that heretical Ritual Coffee Roasters?

Well, set you minds and mugs at ease. We've decided that in an effort to keep up with the Joneses, or at least the Vickies, it is time to quit the confines of our tiny Temescal location for some bigger, better digs somewhere on the Oakland/Emeryville Border.

That's right, no more dancing like Wendy and Lisa just to get from one end of the closet to the other. No more hovering at the doorway waiting for someone to leave so that you can sardine in. No more long distance transportation of the chum bucket.

Instead we will have space and space and more space to roast coffee and do all those other things coffee roasters do. And if we ever wanted to get a smooth, dark cup of rich coffee, it's good to know that Peet's is that much closer.

Oh yeah! We have a blog to keep up! Oops!

But don't get too mad as we have all been quite busy moving here and there and playing with new machines and new regimes. We've also been drinking lots of coffee and trying to keep up with the trials and tribulations of our friends in the field.

Oh, but get this. There is a big secret coming. We know we told you about a big secret a while ago but this one is even bigger so stay tuned, we might even be able to tell you about it quite soon!

And no, we're not talking about the new life form that Manboy spawned in the back of the van after leaving the Chum Bucket to brew for a couple of days. It's even bigger.
